Articling Student

Tristan Miller is Dinning Hunter’s most recent articling student, first joining the team in 2025. Tristan brings with him a strong foundation in legal practice and client service. Prior to attending law school, Tristan worked as a legal assistant for six years, where he developed practical experience across a range of legal matters and gained a deep understanding of the day-to-day realities clients face.

Tristan began with Dinning Hunter as a law student during the summer of his second year of law school. Tristan continued to work with the firm throughout his final year and graduated from the University of Victoria in 2026. Tristan’s early integration into the team allowed him to build meaningful relationships with colleagues and clients alike, while honing his legal skills in a hands-on environment.

Tristan is known for his thoughtful, detail-oriented approach and commitment to his work. His background gives him a unique perspective that bridges the practical, procedural, and substantive aspects of legal work.

Tristan relocated from the Lower Mainland to Vancouver Island with his wife to enjoy the Island’s peaceful nature and lifestyle. Tristan loves to hike and camp across the Island with his dog Kona, enjoying the scenic nature which complements his balanced and grounded approach to both his professional and personal life.
