Sean T. Dillman
Sean was born and raised in a small town in northern Alberta. After graduating high school, he studied Computer Engineering Technology at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in Calgary, graduating on the President’s List. Sean then worked as a technician for International Business Machines in Calgary before studying English Literature at York University in Toronto where he graduated summa cum laude and on the Dean’s honour roll. His next move was to Victoria to study law at the University of Victoria. He worked at two mid-sized, downtown Victoria law firms before finding his home at Dinning Hunter Jackson Law.
People come to see Sean with concerns about residential, commercial, and strata real estate transactions (including buying, selling, and mortgaging), corporate, business and company matters (including incorporating, partnership agreements, leases, and other contracts), estate and incapacity planning work (including probate, wills, trusts, powers of attorney and representation agreements), and Small Claims Court actions (for disputes up to $35,000 as of June 1, 2017).
In addition to working with clients at Dinning Hunter Jackson Law, Sean teaches part-time at CDI College in the Legal Administrative Assistant program. He most recently taught family law procedure and real estate law/conveyancing procedure.
Outside of work Sean enjoys occasionally participating in 10Ks, sports, and stage acting.
