Articled Student
Connor Swick is Dinning Hunter Law’s Articled Student. Born in southwestern Ontario, his family moved to South Carolina for a few years before returning to the London, Ontario region. He would go on to complete his Bachelors in Medical Sciences with Honors, and receive a Masters in Environment and Sustainability from Western University.
After graduating from his Masters, Connor worked in energy and utilities management, where he developed a talent for resolving disputes with ministries and businesses. This brought Connor to law school, and his family on the west coast convinced him that the University of Victoria was the right choice. He started at UVic Law in 2021 and graduated this year.
Connor has kept himself busy since moving to Victoria, volunteering as president of his strata council and as a law student for Access Pro Bono’s legal advice clinic. In addition to his volunteering, Connor has worked at Dinning Hunter Law since joining as a law student in the summer of 2022.
Connor is relied on by the partners at Dinning Hunter Law for his excellent legal analysis and advocacy. He routinely assists with personal injury, wills and estates, and family law litigation, as well as real estate disputes including collapsing deals and strata issues.
Outside of work, you might find Connor at the dog park with his great Dane/lab mix Scooby, who has also become an office staple. Other than that, he’s known to tread the waters around Oak Bay crabbing and paddle boarding.
Connor is expected to complete his articles in May of 2025.
