Wm. Rory Lambert

Rory Lambert graduated from the University of Alberta with a BSC in 1980, and from the University of Victoria Faculty of law in 1987. He became a member of the Alberta Bar in 1988 and the British Columbia bar in 1989. He joined the law firm of Dinning Hunter in 1989 and became of partner in 1992. Rory practices in the area of litigation, with a special interest in personal injury and complex litigation matters.

He spearheads many of the firms' complex lawsuits and has numerous awards, including 2 in excess of $1 million. In concert with his litigation partner, Gary Jackson, Rory also has received a jury decision in a personal injury lawsuit in excess of $4 million *. This case was valued by the defendants' lawyers at $44,000. Rory attributes his success to-date to thoroughness in lawyer/client preparation, a depth of knowledge of the law and excellent teamwork...

Rory also has an ongoing interest in immigration law. He first became involved in immigration law in 1989, while completing his articles at the Victoria law firm of Pearlman Lindholm, by assisting Brian Smith, QC, British Columbia's former Attorney General.

Rory's immigration practice is focused primarily on establishing special projects that link Canadian employers to overseas foreign workers. For example, through his client, Success Immigration Services (Canada) Ltd., and Chemistry Consulting Group, Rory has established a relationship with the British Columbia and Yukon Hotel Association to bring workers for that industry into British Columbia.

When Rory is not conducting complex lawsuits, or traveling abroad to assist his immigration clients, he can be found spending quality time with his family, practicing the martial arts of wing chun and arnis, or riding mountain bikes. Rory is a member of the Immigration subsection of the B.C. Bar Association and the Trial Lawyers Association. Rory is also a former member of Canada's National Track and Field Team.
