Gary R. Jackson

Gary Jackson was born and raised in Victoria B.C. and has an excellent knowledge of the area and the surrounding jurisdictions. He has spent time in Ottawa while completing his undergraduate degree in Criminology and in Vancouver while completing his Law degree.

Gary graduated from law school in 1993 and was called to the bar in 1994. After articles he joined the firm of Dinning Crawford and began in the field of litigation with a focus on Criminal law. Dinning Crawford became Dinning Hunter in 1995. In 1997 Gary became a partner in the firm and it was renamed Dinning, Hunter, Lambert and Jackson. Over the last 10 years he has focused on Insurance law primarily acting for plaintiffs. He has done numerous cases in the Supreme Court of British Columbia as well as the Court of Appeal and some Small Claims Court. He has conducted multiple jury trials as well as Judge alone trials with a great deal of success.

Recently Gary has been diversifying the firm's focus and conducting some defense work for private individuals and Insurance companies.

Gary has been a member of the Trial Lawyer's Association since 1994 and was responsible for setting up the Vancouver Island Practice Tips subsection; chairing and organizing seminars on civil litigation issues.

Outside of the office Gary is very active in sports and fitness activities including: hockey, squash, racquetball, swimming and weight training. In addition he greatly enjoys traveling and has been to Europe, South East Asia (multiple times) and many destinations throughout North and Central America.
