Residential SchoolsMy name is Eric Wagner. I am the lawyer responsible for Residential School claims. If you were at Residential School, nobody has to tell you how bad the place was or how much pain people have been caused by the Residential School system. After much too long, people are finally willing to listen to your history and do something about it. If you were abused at Residential School, you may be able to make a claim to be paid money. Even if you were not abused, so long as you spent the night at a Residential School, you may be able to make a claim to be paid money. The claims process can be confusing and there is a lot of bad gossip out there. If you really want to know what you can do, please give me a call and I will explain how things work. I have helped a lot of people over the years with their claims. Whether or not you are a client or potential client, I will be happy to speak with you. Done properly, the claims process can be part of the healing process. When we speak, you will learn how I take a lot of time to get to know my clients. We share good memories and bad. We learn to trust each other and care for each other. This helps my clients trust me with their histories and experience how telling helps them to start gaining control over their histories. I also help clients find counselling, whether one on one or in a group setting. When it comes time to present their histories to those who need to make a decision on compensation, my clients know I am there with them, supporting them strongly and compassionately. My clients do not have to share their historiis with legal assistants, students, or “form fillers.†Other than setting appointments and other “nuts and bolts†kinds of things, which my legal assistant handles, I am the one working on the file and listening to the histories. What my clients tell me stays with me unless they say otherwise. Even my legal assistant usually does not know my clients’ histories.
